You Are Loved

The stores are full of roses. The restaurants are packed. Social media is covered in heart emojis and "forever" captions. And while all of that is sweet... today I want to talk about a different kind of love—God's love. There are some kinds of love you have to earn. You earn approval with performance. You earn attention with achievement. You earn affection by being impressive, agreeable, or "enough." But God's love? You don't qualify for it. You don't compete for it. You don't clean yourself up to receive it. You just accept it.

In Romans 5:8 we're reminded... "God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Not after we got it together. Not once we proved we were serious. Not when we finally became "churchy enough." But while we're still figuring it out, still doubting, still messy, and still wandering. And here's something we especially neeed to hear this Valentine's Day... you do not need a boyfriend, nor do you need to be married to experience the deepest love available.

God's love is not dependent on your relationship status. It's not reserved for couples. It's not stronger for the engaged. It's not withheld from the single. He reaches you in your dorm room. In your apartment. In your marriage. In your waiting season. In your heartbreak. And in your healing. No one is too far. No one is too broken. And no one is too late. God's love isn't a VIP section. It's an open door. And if you are in a relationship or happily married—celebrate it, enjoy it, and thank God for it.

Stop trying so hard to be chosen, to be loved... because you already are. That means on your best day, God loves you. On your loneliest day, God loves you. On the days you feel confident and on the days you feel forgotten, God still loves you. His love does not fluctuate with your feelings. It's steady. Constant. And unshaken. You don't need a Valentine to be valued. You don't need a ring to be secure. You don't need someone else's affection to prove your worth. You are already fully known and fully loved.

If today feels sweet, celebrate it.

If today feels quiet, receive it.

Let God meet you exactly where you are—single, dating, married, widowed, waiting—and remind you that His love is not seasonal. It's forever. And it’s yours.

🩷 Prayer

God, thank You for loving me independent of my status, my story, or my season. When I feel overlooked or lonely, remind me that I am already chosen by You. Help me rest in a love that doesn’t shift with circumstances. Let Your love be enough. Amen.
