Have you ever felt stuck—like you're standing at a crossroads with no idea which way to go next? You pray for a sign, look for a door to open, and sometimes all you hear is silence. Yeah, me too. I've been there... more than once. There have been times I've reached out to God and said, "you know, it would be a lot easier if You just gave me the handbook—the blueprint for my life."
Well... you're in luck.
Not because God hands us a roadmap, but because He offers something even better. New year, new road, same you—but a steadier, stronger, more faith-rooted version of you on the road ahead. You don't have to guess your way into the New Year. You don't have to force open doors. You don't have to walk into tomorrow hoping you get it right.
Psalm 32:8 whispers a trust we forget, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God never asks us to figure life out on our own. He doesn’t hand us a blueprint and say, “good luck!” Honestly, that's probably for the better, I'm not even sure I could read a blueprint. Instead, He says, “I will instruct you. I will teach you. I will watch over you.”
That means you’re not wandering—you’re being led. Even when the road feels uncertain, His loving eye is on you. He sees what’s ahead, even when you don’t. Sometimes the reason we can't see the new thing is because our hands are still holding onto the old one—old plans, old disappointments, old expectations. Maybe it's time to release those so your hands are free for what's next.
Hear me out, God's already working on your next chapter, even if you're still standing in the hallway between "what was" and "what's next."
SHE Walks in Faith
Grab a piece of paper and draw a road. At the starting point, write one thing you're ready to let go of. For me, I may say control—I like to be in control always, without control I'm an emotional mess. At the end, write one word that represents what you're stepping into—like peace, freedom, or joy. Keep it somewhere you'll see it often as a quiet reminder, you're walking new roads with God, and He's right beside you.
🩷 Prayer
Lord, thank you for never leaving me to figure things out alone. Teach me to trust You with the next step, even when I can't see the whole road. Help me release what's behind me and walk forward with faith, knowing you're guiding me every step of the way. Amen.
